Wow, this is actually such a stupid system....
I swear I thought you were going to say "Wow, this is actually such a stupid question...." :clown:
This rating change will be taken back soon, and the contest will be counted as unrated for them.
I suppose not, I saw this bug many times before, and the rating wasn't rollback
Just wait for rollback. For now the only thing that's done is to make their submissions skipped, and it needs a full recalculation to adjust everyone's rating. It may not be today, but should be done in at most a few weeks.
This is an example, 3 years and still no rollback
That's a very old example. I don't even remember if they did rollback back then.
Of course not, that's why I just posted it here (this image is newly taken).
What the fuck
I once asked Mike directly, he replied "It's very difficult to change the rating history correctly. That's why it's like this"
It's ok, all cheaters will be punished
By the way, the results of his first contest looks ridiculous: 16th place with 0 solved problems. And the rating was increased too much (unconditional 500 pt for the first contest+385). In this contest the 16th place solved all problems.
much much more examples, (cf 739 div3, last page of rating change) skipped participant still rated
I believe that is just counted as solving 0 problems, which at the low newbie level, you can still go up.
so the expert one ? still got + 88
He is expert now... Was newbie by that time (and probably even had newbie bonus.
Your text to link here...
check by yourself, contest #21
you're right, i apologize
I think that's normal, because these rating increases are not actual increase, but rather a huge decrease compensated with the initial bonuses. For example, all the 100 -> 350s are just their first contest and for some reason their previous rating is shown as 100 instead of 0. So they only got their initial 500 bonus, and their "real" rating was decreased by 150, and it makes sense that a "real" rating of 1400 may lose 150 points if they solve 0 problems.
I think atleast you should check by yourself, you can see that many of them had very high ranking (on their contest profile). After that, you could understand what I said
I mean... they could have missed them in the old days, doesn't mean they will miss them in recent contests too.
i argue to codeforces team to please take strict action against chaeters once it is confirmed that the candidate has cheated pls pls takwe strict action against them
Because other peoples' ratings will be adjusted.
Edu Round rank 16?! That's like, IGM performance. GMs leaking solutions now? RIP CF.
For recent contests , rollbacks arenot done since a quite long hence , it will just show old ratings changes but will soon discard it's changes.
Ig we can't really be sure if they are cheaters or alt accounts of some GMs
