Hello, Codeforces.

We're Refact.ai, an open-source AI Coding Assistant, and on November 9th, we'll be hosting our first round on Codeforces! It will be a combined Div.1+Div.2 round. Welcome!

The winners will receive valuable prizes, and all participants will have a chance to get some exclusive merch from us.

Refact.ai is pushing AI beyond simple code completion. Soon, we'll launch the Autonomous AI Agent—a developer's buddy that handles real engineering tasks end-to-end, from planning and coding to testing and deployment.

If you're excited about AI in software development and want to build the future instead of focusing on the trivial, join Refact.ai, founded by a former OpenAI researcher. We're looking for talented Researchers and Backend developers to join our team.

We already have competitive programmers on board, such as humbertoyusta and Rox. As humbertoyusta puts it, "Working at Refact.ai feels like being part of a team that's constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible." If that sounds like your kind of environment, fill out this form for full-time positions (remote or in Barcelona).

If you're not open to new job opportunities but want to delegate tedious tasks and climb the leaderboard faster, explore: Refact.ai — an Open-source AI Coding Assistant that helps you create more while coding less.

Refact.ai already empowers you to code smarter. How?

  • Built around your codebase, it provides accurate auto-completions powered by best-on-market Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
  • Integrated in the IDE chat is already aware of your codebase and answers your questions right within your editor. (Comapre it with Copilot and see the real power:)
  • Detects and fixes bugs, writes unit tests, explains complex code, and much more!

Assign tasks in natural language, select from models like GPT-4o, GPT-4 Turbo, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, or Grow-Llama-3.1, and Refact.ai will generate the code for you.

  • Get 3 months of the Pro Plan for free: Refact.ai has a special gift for the Codeforces community. Just use the promo code CODEFORCES to redeem it.

  • Join the Discord community: Collaborate with like-minded developers and discuss the latest news and research.

  • Contribute to Refact.ai: As an open-source project, Refact.ai welcomes your contributions—join us in building the future of programming together!

We hope you enjoy the problems and have a great time participating in the round!

first

I should be honored for being first, but I am being downvoted. How disgraceful of this place.

Anyway, since so many people will be enjoying this first comment (which was very easy to do btw) in the next few days, I must share with you a recipe that I invented. I like to call it "the dip." So what you're going to want to do is take half a cup of milk, 5 mini milky way bars, and 10 mini three musketeer bars and put them in a pan. Gently warm up the milk in the pan (not too quickly ofc or else you will spoil the milk) and add the mini candy bars into the pan one by one. Now what you want is for the bars to completely melt in the milk. It might take $$$10-20$$$ minutes for them to melt completely, but don't risk turning up the temperature. You don't want to risk burning the milk. All the while, you should stir the dip gently. As the bars melt in the milk, the mixture will become very viscous, much like a dip. When the bars completely melt, voila, you have "the dip." The dip goes nicely with bananas, chicken, and strawberries. I'm sure it doesn't taste too bad plain, either.

This reminds me of the story from the Warring period (google translated): "There was a weapon seller in the State of Chu who went to the market to sell spears and shields. Many people came to see him, so he held up his shield and boasted to everyone, "My shield is the strongest in the world. No matter how sharp or pointed it is, it can't pierce it!" Then, the weapon seller picked up a spear and boasted shamelessly, "My spear is the sharpest in the world. No matter how strong and solid it is, it can't stop it from poking you. Once it touches you, it will be pierced immediately!" He was very proud and shouted loudly, "Come and see, come and buy, the strongest shield and the sharpest spear in the world!" At this time, a spectator came forward, picked up a spear, and then picked up a shield and asked, "What will happen if you use this spear to poke this shield?" "This--" The onlookers were stunned at first, and suddenly burst into laughter, and then they all dispersed. The weapon seller walked away in disgrace, carrying his spear and shield."

Imagine if someone uses Refact to cheat on the contest using the promo code LOL.

wouldn't even be surprised.

would be disappointed though...
