Dear IOI Community,
We are writing to inform you of an important update regarding the 37th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2025. Given that it is our country's bicentennial anniversary, the decision has been made to relocate the event from La Paz to Sucre, Bolivia, our capital city.
New Details for IOI 2025: - Host City: Sucre, Bolivia - Dates: July 27 – August 3, 2025
Sucre, known as Bolivia’s constitutional capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers excellent facilities and a rich cultural experience that will enhance the IOI for all participants and attendees. The organizing committee is working diligently to ensure a smooth transition and an exceptional event for everyone involved.
What Does This Mean for Participants? 1. Travel Arrangements: Please review your travel plans and make adjustments as necessary. Sucre is accessible via direct flights from major Bolivian cities and has well-established transportation options. 2. Accommodations: Updated information on accommodations will be shared soon. 3. Further Details: A comprehensive guide with all necessary details about the new venue will be provided in the coming weeks on the official IOI website.

This change should help alleviate concerns about altitude sickness, as Sucre's elevation is 2,750 meters, compared to La Paz's 3,650 meters.
