Introduction

Codeforces contests are built on the principles of fair play, problem-solving, and healthy competition. Unfortunately, some participants tarnish the spirit of competitive programming by engaging in unethical practices such as sharing code during live contests. Recently, I have come across a Telegram group with over 10,000 members actively sharing solutions during contests, undermining the integrity of our community. Yesterday, despite solving 4 questions in the Codeforces Round 998 (Div. 3), I ended up with a rank of 11,000+, which left me feeling extremely demotivated. Today, I came across a Telegram group with over 10,000 members actively sharing and discussing solutions during the contest. Just imagine the number of cheaters involved!

These groups have existed for a while now, and I don't believe there's any way to fight them, as they are not inherently doing anything against the Telegram ToS. Correct me if I'm wrong. And you can't realistically just ban all their members either. Anyway, fair play issues are going to get even worse as GPT evolves. I would advise you to stop caring about rating and just keep solving problems, and your rating will eventually catch up with your desired level, no matter how many people cheat. For now, don't take all this personally.
