It is working now. Please check !!
Nice contest (although codechef issues are disturbing)! Excited to see myself with same number of solved problems as I_love_Tanya_Romanova and savinov.
Hearty congratulations to you :) Thank you for feedback too !!
I also really liked the problems, especially "Chaapu and Parcels", "Factorization", and "Traveller Chef" (all of which I couldn't solve during contest = (
)
In the problem "DOTS Player" I found a little confusing the term "rectilinear", here it says it's any straight line, not just one parallel to coordinate axis, so I thought you could move to any point such that the gcd of the differences of their Xs and Ys coordinates were 1, maybe you should have given another sample input showing this.
Thanks you for an interesting contest :)
I wasn't much surprised to see CodeChef not working during contest — it is just "as usual", from my personal experience of CodeChef contests. It wasn't author's fault, and it even says about contest popularity :) BTW, original contest duration was 5h or 6h? This announcement says about 5h, while there are nothing about contest extending at CodeChef Announcements and in Rules and Regulations duration is set to 6h.
While I wasn't surprised by crashing CodeChef, situation with Chapu and Matisee really surprised me. It was a new experience for me:
- ok, Traveller Chef is done, now I have to choose between Factorization and Chapu and Matisee; I already have a lot of wrong submissions on Factorization, solving it will give me huge penalty time, let's focus on Chapu and Matisee instead.
- (150 lines of code later) now let's refresh contest page to see what is going on. Wait, where is Chapu and Matisee?..
Why did you decided to delete problem from a contest? You had no problems with this task, testcases were good, statement was clear, it does not look like copy-paste of some old problem in a way which allows us to find it using Google, linked COCI problem had completely different story (even if math.model of a problem was clearly same; even if testcases were same — it does not matter), it happened in second part of contest, but you still decided to delete a task?
I've seen Traveller Chef before, i've seen Chaapu and Parcels before, i've seen Long Drive before, i've seen Devu and Churu before. Is it a reason to delete half of problemset? :) For Long Drive it doesn't even take a long for me to find similar problem — only difference of task Tree from SEERC 2012 is that you have to output all values instead of their average.
For me this issue haven't changed final place in standings, but for someone who spend a lot of time on Chapu and Matisee during late part of contest and was close to finishing it (and i would say that this problem looks like hardest/most boring to code/taking most time among given problemset) deleting problem from a contest can possibly affect final rank in a very sad way.
Sorry if there were really solid reasons to remove a problem, and I simply can't understand them, but i've participated in a lot of different online contests and this was really strange for me. I can hardly imagine that we'll see announcement 80 minutes passed from contest start, and we found out that div1 E is very similar to one of problems from Livearchive and even can be solved with same code, we decided to delete it from this round during CodeForces contest :)
