Please correct me if i'm wrong but according to clist.by SRM starts 45 mins after CROC 2016
can either codeforces or topcoder change the start time so we can do both?

I believe that Codeforces won't move the start time of CROC 2016 Final Round (that is also an onsite event) because of clash with TC SRM.

On the other hand, the round was not present in the schedule till Monday (if I remember correctly) so it's probably a Codeforces fault because TC schedule is known long time before the round.

The CROC finals were decided upon much earlier, based on the program in the invitation (wait, you were 14th in the elimination round, that info should have been available to you). And the program is stuffed, so there's no way to move it a bit.

But I'd say it's still possible to participate in both.

No doubt the date of the final round was available much earlier. I just wanted to point out that TC admin didn't have an information about the exact time of the contest (I found it out only from the invitation e-mail) so he couldn't avoid the clash from his side. Maybe if Codeforces had scheduled that contest earlier, this wouldn't have happened.

Yeah, that's true. Contests need more coordination, not to mention international olympiads (they collide so much it has to be intentional).

CROC 2016 time won't be changed for sure. However, if you are not attending the onsite finals you may take part in both competitions, as the official CF round using (almost) the same problemset will take place on Saturday.

Well that's relieving (i'm not participating in onsite finals), i won't have to participate in both of them at the same time (it's hard and has really bad effects on my ratings)

Forwarded this issue to the person in charge.

To me, it looks too late (32 hours before the contest) to do anything at this point.

        Are you attending onsite finals?

"if you are not attending the onsite finals you may take part in both competitions", see comment by GlebsHP above.

It seems that there is no clash between CROC and running SRM :P
