ACM-ICPC World Finals 2016 will take place on May, 19, 03:00 (UTC). It is one of the most important events in programming competitions life.
More than 40000 contestants from 2736 universitites from 102 countries had competed in regional competitions. 128 teams had advanced to the World Finals, which are held this year in Phuket, Thailand. I wish the teams good luck and many baloons!
Will there be online mirror?
Yes: Comment on other post
Best of luck to the Syrian Teams : Aleppo University , Damascus University and Tishreen University . we are all with you <3 <3
I wish many balloons!
Is that rated?
People in Division 1 could actually enjoy an online Mirror Round On codeforces that could even be Rated! It's a fantastic idea for the future..
I don't know about you guys but I will actually miss seeing Tourist compete.
If tourist could participate then the competition for rank 1 was almost over. So, i think the rule that a person can participate in at most 2 world finals completely makes sense.
Is it possible if tourist continue studying master and participating?
No
He's already participated in ICPC World Finals twice — that's the limit.
Please, correct "tile" -> "title" in "the tile of the World Champion of ACM ICPC!". The term "tile" also has an important meaning in programming and parallel execution, but this one is completely different out here. Thanks. ;)
On behalf of the whole ICPC community, I would like to thank people who invented air conditions, Thank you guys we love you so much :D
13 problems from A to M are expected.
Are the problems published yet for public?

Does anyone know if there's an online contest to participate during the real contest?

It is possible here: https://online.acmicpc.org/
Is it me or is the current standings here: http://myicpc.icpcnews.com/World-Finals-2016/scoreboard not updating?
EDIT: site is down now (404 Not Found)
EDIT2: It is back up now! :)
EDIT3: nvm... on and off
try Scoreboard ICPC'16
If all last submissions were correct:
As Petr Mitrichev wrote at his twitter, ITMO got WA both problems :c
And Petr tweeted:
Here are the final standings to the best of my knowledge — thanks to http://zibada.ru/finals !
EDIT: updated image from Petr's new tweet
Copying from the Russian thread, according to Petr's information, the top 4 is fixed:
Assuming that only information about these 4 universities and ITMO is correct; no one else can get into top 4.
ITMO?
That's me being a retard, sorry, fixed. Thanks!
Assuming that Petr's info is correct — damn, only 9 minutes between 1-st and 2-nd place. Let's see if someone managed to get AC in the last seconds/minutes.
This tweet suggests that Fudan might have solved A in the last minute.
Very unlike last year.
if all the submission are correct then 12 out of 13 problems will be solved
No tourist , No party :v
There was submission on H as well during the last hour
Last year: what is the point of making contest with tourist ?
This year: what is the point of making contest without tourist ?
After tourist nothing will never be the same. :(
nothing will ever be the same
Meanwhile in Thailand...
How does ACM manage to have a smooth stream for hours and just get it messed up at time of results?
perhaps everyone use local wifi or something and it's overloaded.
Cant they cutoff wifi for like 15 minutes :/
But first solution in contest...
At least they'll get $1500 for that, according to rules :)
DEL
(for all but first problem solved)
Is that possible to add the problemsSet as a training contest in the Gym?! MikeMirzayanov
I think having such contest in the gym will help teams preparing for the next world finals, as in the gym you can see how others solve the problem after solving it, which is not available in the Live Archive
I don't even know which of these amazes me more: SPbSU jumped from 5th to 1st place with 2 problems solved in 2 minutes (288 to 290) or the fact that this year title race was decided by a mere 7 penalty.
