Why the registeration to codeforces round #434 is private?

out of curiosity, is it an unusual round?

I think it may be because you used to be able to register for both, so they fixed it now.

    Технокубок (on which 434 is based) is announced here ( it's in Russian ), but there's nothing about a div1/div2 mirror. So no apparently

        Every CF round which has a number IS rated.

        When you try to register for технокубок it tells you that round 434 div 2 is rated, and vice versa. So both contests are rated.
