I would like to cut down on some of the spam in comments. Thoughts?

If you want to block LanceTheDragonTrainer, he's just going to create more alts :/

Does he actually have any alts? I think anyone else with a similar style or whatever is just a copycat.

Who needs to block him when there are something like 10 accounts of ovidiu.intellectual?

I actually wonder why don't those accounts get banned.

Why not ban those with low contribution from "contributing" more?

I think it's a bad idea considering how easy it is to get downvotes. This would give people the opportunity to ''ban'' someone just by registering a bunch of alts.

So maybe a 7-day ban from 'contributing' would be a better idea.

I yet have to find out why Codeforces implemented a "seen" feature. Maybe that's the governing trait of an active social network (social pressure)?

Sorry, but I really don't help alts. And I also ignore some messages intentionally.

No you wouldn't. You don't know what are you talking about. There were few messages from people who really wanted to get help on some topic/problem. These people ask concrete questions and write only useful info, and you really want to help them. But 90% of question in PM are some sort of what ko_osaga said. They want you to give them some magical backdoor avoiding hard work. They talk very aggressive like you owe something.

I agree, some users (not like me of course) just post stupid shit all day, have really low contrib, and spam the comments sections with "Is it rated?" or "How to improve please help me". It gets really annoying and I think Mike Mirzayanov should implement block user.
