Hey, is this true that you have to perform well in your first 3 kickstarts ? otherwise google will put u on hold list ? kostka
Can anyone answer who knows exactly ?
(This is what I know for Google CN)
You only need to perform well in rounds that your local office has interest of. Usually the office will make their intention explicit.
Perform well means rank <200, which is very easy for someone with a CP background.
Edit: I guess #1 no longer holds now. For Kickstart 2017, Google CN only cared about rounds in July/August. Source (Simplified Chinese)
All of the information above looks like gossips.
Also, please check out the Rules tab: https://codingcompetitions.withgoogle.com/kickstart/rulesandterms
There's some information about the potential contact from Google recruiters.
Is Kickstart actually strictly just for students? Also, are high school or graduate students eligible?
Let me cite one of the organizers: "We encourage coding enthusiasts of all skill and experience levels to participate in the upcoming rounds." Ergo, there are no limits.
Cool, so it's like an SRM. I see that a lot of effort is being put in the new system, maybe incoming is also ratings?
Just a reminder: practice round will start on the 23rd of Feb at 16:00 UTC and will last 24h. Check the full schedule here: https://codingcompetitions.withgoogle.com/kickstart/schedule
It was a nice contest, cheers. Do you plan to add some prizes like T-Shirts for future Kickstarts? I've seen there is such an option in the rules, but have encountered such a contest.
Does anybody see the results of the practice round?
The results are released (I think):

Thanks for the response!
I wonder how did you find this link? I can't find any references to this on Kickstart site.
I had this link from earlier, but you can find this in Schedule(https://codingcompetitions.withgoogle.com/kickstart/schedule), just scroll down to see archived rounds.
Hello, sorry to bother again, but I find the scoreboard of the new system extremely counterintuitive, does it conform to all the design guidelines of Google Material Design :P ? On my HD monitor fullscreen I can see 3 problem scores and barely 10 contestants without scrolling ... https://i.ibb.co/Jd6mTJw/2019-02-25-2227.png
What set of problems (in difficulty range) one should solve for Google Kickstart preparations.
You should solve problems that are between too easy and too hard.
