Hi guys!
I am going to be the new admin for Cook Offs from December onwards.
We are looking for problem sets for Cook offs to make Cook offs more appreciable. Send the ideas via e-mail to [email protected] with the subject Cook Off (or Lunchtime if you want to submit for Lunchtime for which Hasan will be admin).
Also partial problem sets are welcomed. We will try to club them with other setters to complete the set.
Currently you can expect a turnaround time of within 5 days to get a reply on your submission from me.
Also I invite everyone to come forward and participate in the Cook offs and let know their opinions on the problemsets in future by commenting on the respective blog posts to help us improve.

Currently we use 7 problems in Cook offs.Problem difficulties I expect them to be according to Codeforces (I will update soon based on codechef version):
Div2A, Div2B, Div2 B(little on the harder side)/ Div2C(avg or easy side ones) , Div1A, Div1B, Div1C, Div1D.
Also it would be great if you reply the solutions to the problems in a second mail replying to the first mail. It would help me in assessing problems without biases.
I had given 3 problem ideas around January-February 2019 and yet to hear back on 2 of those, can you please help?

Can you please clearly define the intended difficulty of the Cook Off questions in terms of CodeForces rating ?
Added to the blog, but these difficulties are the difficulties I faced 6 months or before.
In past 6 months I am not so active in cf, recently I started again and I think problems are more easier on cf.
If you don’t mind, can you please provide a number rather than say a position. For example $$$C$$$ might be $$$1500$$$ and so on. CodeForces problems come with difficulty rating.
I do not know how to say in terms of points. For me, points are comparative and not global.
I am not referring to the points given to the question before the contest starts but the rating given to the problem after the contest is over.
I have found it to be quite accurate. Problems might be $$$C$$$ but there is a difference between $$$1500$$$ and $$$1700$$$ $$$C$$$ and I have noticed this in my practice as well. It is a very reliable way of classifying problem difficulties.

Do not worry. Submit your problems and I will assign them to the contest and position in the contest accordingly and discuss with you for the respective problems.
I was actually enquiring from a contestant's point of view more than a problem setter's point of view :)
