In USACO, what would the ratings of the problems be on CF? Any thoughts? Like bronze problems are xyz rating silver problems are this much rating.

IMO, roughly,
Silver = 1000-1400
Gold = 1500-2100
Plat = > 2300.
But OI problems are very different from CF probs, and comparing apples and bananas isn't fair I guess.

    OI problems are not actually that different. Besides the partial scores, I don't see much of a difference, even with the subproblems higher rated people will solve more subproblems than lower rated ones — most of the 2100 rated people will almost always outperform most of 1800-1900 rated people and the same holds for other rating ranges. I believe this is the only thing that matters and that most people care about.

    In IOI to be ranked between 100th and 150th place you need to solve enough problems. Sometimes it will be 2.7, other times 4. To most people the only measurement is where you got and not the way you got there.

    Silver is far harder than 1400. I'm in the silver division, but I'm 1500 rated and don't have that high hopes for Gold.

    EDIT: Made Gold division...I'd say problems are 1600-1900 rated.

    Silver is definitely harder than 1400 btw, i would say these days bronze problems can go up to 1400.

Bronze: 1000 — 1200

Silver: 1300 — 1800

Gold: 1700 — 2100

Plat: 2100+ (?)

Of course, there are exceptions (Silver Meetings, Gold Cowland, etc.) but this is approximately correct. Doing CF problems around these ratings will help, but the past comparison is definitely past problems, so you should do those first if you haven't.

    Plat is normally much harder than 2100 imo. Probably 2400 at least.

        oops pepehands, but 2100 seems like a fair lower bound at least for old plat, there's def some problems down there

I am USACO gold so I will speak for bronze and silver. Bronze is probably around 900-1200. For silver, it's tough to say (since the ceiling is so high these days), but 1300-1900 is roughly where they lie (although if there is a 1900 problem such as loans you probably don't need to solve it to qualify).
