Think fast, type fast, submit fast.
First and foremost keep solving till the end of the contest and do not write a blog or comment in between the contest time.
ohh! also keep practising.
There is a guy who made a video about this topic
Although he uses java , but the tricks for speed solving are mostly language independent...
I only watched the first 7 minutes and was pretty helpful , but reaching D is still a challenge
