Aside from all the cheats, I don't think the ratio of solves to participants didn't change that drastically. We are getting much more participants than ever before nowadays, and ~5000 solves are still approximately 1/3 of solves on A. 7k solves are mostly due to being a Div. 1 + 2 round or longer contest time with more problems than usual.
