Recently the CF rounds reduced dramatically. Anyone have any idea why that might be.

I think there are many proposed contests in queue, so probably a div2 is added to be on 7 october or earlier.

if you have no problems to solve when there is no contest surely there will be no improvement and your rating graph shows exactly that , real growth comes from practice not contest
I agree, with practice I can pick difficulty and can see if able to solve harder problems (hopefully).
