System testing for the last edu round isn't over yet, and a new round is about to start. Wouldn't it be better to postpone the new round by a few hours or pause system testing completely?

Trust me when I say this: I love doing many contests in a short time span. It's very fun, and carries a unique dynamic. What I don't love are the long stretches without any contests that usually follow, and this dislike trumps over my love for contests.
Now, as you all know, we will soon have 4 rounds on consecutive days, and many other rounds after that. While this excites me, I want to ask the codeforces team: Can this be avoided if possible? I guess it can't be helped if they're all based on some other on-site contest, but if not, I genuinely believe that a different schedule would be better.
edit: I realized the schedule had already been changed after I posted this :p. However, there's just a one-day gap now, so I think my point still stands.
I thought it ended on January 10th?
As we all know, there were some issues with yesterday's round, and the rating update surprised many people. I won't try to argue here about the round — it breeds too much conflict — but I would like to ask MikeMirzayanov and HQ to please make an official announcement? The current situation has led to quite a toxic environment; with marzipan being downvoted into oblivion, people trashing 74TrAkToR at every opportunity and heated arguments about whether the round should be rated or not.
I think an announcement on HQ's current stance on this situation would help us all in calming down. Additionally, it would be nice to have an at least semi-formal standard on exactly what will constitute an unrated round in the future.
As you can see below, the next atcoder beginner contest is abc317. However, abc316 hasn't taken place yet, so will there be another contest before abc317?
