As you might know, the first ever International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence will take place in Burgas, Bulgaria in August! I am willing to reach out to fellow contestants, and I believe Codeforces is among the best places to do so. This is largely because most countries select IOAI teams based on, among other methods, IOI selection. I placed 5th in Dutch IOI TST myself.
This blog will look similar to IOI contestants list and EGOI contestants list. It's perfectly fine if not some (most) contestants don't have a Codeforces account. It's up to you to decide whether to indicate the number of attempts left.
With that said, the Dutch team is:
- Stefano Larsen — 2 attempts left
- Fiodar Prystauka (jV_) — 0 attempts left
- Matthijs Schrijvers — 2 attempts left
- Floris de Vooys (Zinzerena) — 0 attempts left
Country | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
---|---|---|---|---|
Netherlands | Stefano Larsen | Fiodar Prystauka jV_ | Matthijs Schrijvers | Floris de Vooys Zinzerena |
Romania Team 1 | Stanciu Rareș Ștefan Dragono63 | Nicolae Luca Ștefan | Moldovan Laura | Rebengiuc Mircea Maxim mircea_007 |
Romania Team 2 | Botnaru Victor BotnaruVictor | Bratoveanu Nicolas-Ștefan | Dumitrașcu Ștefan-Alexandru | Mocanu Mihai-Adrian MihaiMocanu2 |
Don't be shy to put your team in the comments! I will update the table as soon as I can.
UPD. The IOAI '24 is over, both the problems and results are available. Thank you so much for your participation, it was a pleasure to meet and compete with you! Congratulations to the medalists!
are there any age requirements?
Is this an olympiad for competitive programmers?
Age requirements? As far as I am aware, there aren't any.
I believe all the teams for 2024 have been formed already. The selection procedure differs per country, plus it is not streamlined since it's the first time. Most teams choose top students through IOI, IMO, IOL (Linguistics) selection. You can visit ioai-official.org for more info. Please note I am not an organiser, just a contestant, so please take my words with a grain of salt.
Will the olympiad be held offline?
thank you!
The main part is on site. The teams also received home assignments to deal with by August 4.
Interestingly enough, Bulgaria's team includes 4 linguisticians and 0 people, chosen via competitive programming :D
Still, few of us will be volunteers at IOAI, so see you there :)
That's interesting. Don't they need someone who is good in coding to help them?
The team also consists of people who do research (i.e. go to RSI), so there are some programmers in the team, one of whom has scored silver at IOI
Not to be confused with IAIO (international artificial intelligence olympiad) in Saudi Arabia.
No clue why both of them exist and why they were formed the exact same year. Their names are also super similar. If someone has information, please share.
Not to be confused with IOAA (International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics)
it's fun that Saudi Arabia sent teams to IOAI while hosting a IAIO
Romania as far as I know has 2 teams:
Team 1:
Stanciu Rareș Ștefan(Dragono63) — 1 attempt left
Nicolae Luca Ștefan — 2 attempts left
Moldovan Laura — 2 attempts left
Rebengiuc Mircea Maxim (mircea_007) — 2 attempts left
Team 2:
Botnaru Victor (BotnaruVictor) — 0 attempts left
Bratoveanu Nicolas-Ștefan — 0 attempts left
Dumitrașcu Ștefan-Alexandru — ? attempts left
Mocanu Mihai-Adrian (MihaiMocanu2) — 1 attempt left
Added!
Looks like this contest is over. Are the problem statements available somewhere?
Sorry for the late reply.
When I saw your comment for the first time, I had little to help you with. Fortunately, the problems and the best solutions have been uploaded to the IOAI website by now.
Thanks so much. I've given up after a couple of days not seeing the statements anywhere. Glad to see your reply!
Kevin114514 is in team China? Heard it from a coach of the team.
