Arpa's blog

By Arpa, history, 5 hours ago, In English

It has been a year since our brothers and sisters in Palestine have been dying and watching their families die. With the war in Lebanon also unfolding, I wondered what I could do.
We, Algoritmi Academy, want to do the least we can to support people there. We sincerely apologize for not acting sooner.

Starting now, we will hold free weekly classes for Palestinian and Lebanese coders. Our priority will be those preparing for IOI and ICPC, but we may accept coders preparing for other goals.

To participate, register on our website and select group classes.

Our activities are not limited to one class per week; we’ll also have a monthly contest. If the number of participants grows, we’ll make two divisions to better maintain the level. For those who may struggle with English, mention it in your registration form; we may hold some classes in Arabic, too.

And finally, we want to send your strong, but injured heart a healing:

«أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَاتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ظُلِمُوا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِيرٌ»
Those who are fought against are permitted to defend themselves because they have been wronged, and God is indeed able to help them

Sincerely to all the resilient and unyielding Palestinian and Lebanese people, The Algoritmi Academy team:

This image is RIDICULOUS. How can this guy just sit at his desk like nothing has ever happened? Literally his neighbors are getting bombed, and we can clearly see this outside of the window. Perhaps his neighbor needs TREMENDOUS help right now? Yet this guy doesn't seem to care. Such an ignorant pose presented here. He doesn't realize the dangers of war, and effects of war on his closest people like family, friends, neighbors, etc... But why is he seating at his laptop zoned in right now? For WHAT? For successful tech career? For big salary that comes with it? What about people DYING in war? His nation is getting OBLITERATED. Enrolling in this class is similar to fighting in the army against your own nation. Downvoted.

First of all, that's obviously AI-generated.

Second of all, that's not the main point of this whole post. The main post is about the lessons.

Lastly, what would you expect them to do? Fight for their nation? What if they can't? What if they still want to help but they can't directly? They can't do it directly, so they have to do it in this manner.

    Stop cherry-picking on posts.

Doing this type of activity gives them the motivation to continue living. What is the benefit of defending the homeland if there are no motivations among the young people who belong to this homeland. sitting behind the computer raises the morale of those who defend you and gives them a reason to be unyielded and defend their homeland.
